Royal Caribbean Cruise From Kochi

Fly out one evening, wake up in Singapore, and be on the ship by lunchtime. Fortune's cruise departure runs ex Kochi with flights, the Singapore visa, a balcony cabin, and every meal aboard inside the price.

Why this cruise

A Cruise You Can Take on Ordinary Leave.

The lido deck pool on a cruise ship

Most people from Kerala who want to try a cruise assume it means a fortnight and a fortune. This one does not. The whole trip runs five days door to door, three of them on a Royal Caribbean ship, which fits inside a short block of leave without touching your annual holiday. You are not paying for a long ocean crossing here. You are paying for the ship itself, which on Royal Caribbean is the point of the exercise. Penang sits in the middle of the sailing as the port call; there is a full day at sea after it, and every cabin on this departure is a balcony rather than an inside room. Flights, the Singapore visa, transfers, meals aboard and a Fortune tour manager from Kochi are all inside the cost.

The Day That Converts People to Cruising
No Port, No Plan

The Day That Converts People to Cruising

There is one full day on this sailing with no land in sight and nothing on the schedule. First timers usually look at it on paper and wonder what they have paid for. It is the day almost everyone remembers. With no port to reach and no coach to catch, the ship's own programme takes over. Meals run long, the deck fills slowly, the shows and activities spread across the hours, and the balcony you paid for finally earns its keep. Nobody is chasing a departure time. It is the one day of the trip where doing nothing is the arrangement rather than a gap in it, and it is the reason people who take one cruise usually take another.

Your Cabin Card Runs the Ship.
Worth knowing

Your Cabin Card Runs the Ship.

Nobody uses cash on board. At check-in, you link a card to your cabin account, and from then on drinks, the spa, the shops and anything ordered outside the included restaurants go on that account and settle at the end. It catches people out on the first evening, so it is worth knowing before you board rather than after. What is already covered is the part that matters. All meals across the sailing are included in what you have paid, and the main dining rooms and buffet cost nothing extra. What is not covered is drinks beyond the fare, speciality restaurants, and anything bought ashore. The other rule to know is that the cruise line does not allow outside food or liquor to be brought aboard, so pack accordingly.

Gardens by the Bay at night, Singapore

Same Ship, Your Shape.

Five days is the frame, and the sailing itself is set by the cruise line, so the three nights at sea run exactly as printed. The land side bends. Add a night in Singapore before you board or after you step off, ask about a different cabin category, or bring a family group and travel together on the same departure. Name the change, and the reworked plan lands priced before any payment moves.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Three of the five days. You fly out on the first evening, board in Singapore on the second morning, and disembark on the fifth. There is no hotel night at either end unless you add one, so the ship is your accommodation for the whole middle of the trip.

It is one of the easiest ways to start. You unpack once, the ship stays the same for three nights, meals are included and already arranged, and a Fortune tour manager travels with the group from Kochi. There is far less to organise than on a multi-country land tour.

A great deal, and it is the reason the sea day works. Royal Caribbean ships run restaurants, live shows, deck activities, pools and entertainment through the day and evening. The onboard programme is published daily so you can pick what suits you and ignore the rest.

Not at all. Shore activities there are optional and paid for directly, and plenty of guests stay on board and treat it as a quiet day, since the ship keeps running normally in port. If you do want to go ashore, tell us at the enquiry stage so the entry requirements are checked in advance.

Broadly yes, within the cruise line's own rules. Infants must be six months old on the sailing date, and each cabin needs one passenger aged 18 or above. Travel insurance is included up to 80 years. There are restrictions on late-stage pregnancy, and we go through all of it with you before you book.

Not without cost. The cruise line treats a date change as a cancellation and a fresh booking, so the standard cancellation charge applies rather than a transfer fee. It is worth being certain of your leave before the advance is paid, and the desk will talk you through the payment stages first.
