Game drives, a Maasai village, and a walking safari — seven days in Kenya.

The group assembles at Cochin International Airport, meets the tour manager, and flies to Nairobi. Kenya announces itself immediately: after freshening up at the hotel, a guided walking tour explores downtown Nairobi and the Maasai Market, where traditional beadwork, carvings, and crafts fill the stalls. Dinner in an upmarket suburb closes the first day. Overnight in Nairobi.
Meals: breakfast and lunch in flight, dinner at a restaurant.
The drive west runs along the Great Rift Valley, the split in the earth's crust that stretches from Mozambique to Jordan, and through the countryside to Narok, the last town before the bush. After lunch, a Maasai village opens its life to the group: how homes are built, how fire is made by hand, and how the famous jumping celebration reaches its heights. Overnight at Maasai Mara.
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
A full day in the reserve with a picnic lunch in the bush, covering ground from the Mara River along the migration route toward the Tanzanian border. The Mara holds the Big Five — lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino — with cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and crocodiles across its grasslands, and in season, the migration's massed herds attempting the river against current and crocodile, the event nature lovers cross the world for. Overnight at Maasai Mara.
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
The day starts with a 6:30 game drive, the predators' hour, when the chance of witnessing a hunt is highest. The heat of the day passes with a dip in the pool, and the evening drive returns to the grasslands for the Big Five and the golden light. Overnight at Maasai Mara.
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
The road returns through the countryside to Lake Naivasha by noon. After lunch, a boat crosses the lake, fish and birds fed along the way, to Crescent Island — reachable only by water and home to wildlife but no predators, which makes it one of the rare places on earth to safari on foot. A guide walks the group among zebras at five metres, giraffes, and gazelles, with an ostrich feeding before the return, timed before the hippos step out for their evening graze. Overnight at Naivasha.
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
After breakfast, the drive returns to Nairobi's airport, five wild nights behind, for the flight to Cochin.
Meals: breakfast at the hotel, lunch and dinner in flight.
Arrival at Cochin. The tour ends with fond memories.
