The Golden Temple and Wagah, the long climb to Manali, the Rohtang snow point and Hadimba, then Shimla's Kufri and Mall Road.

The representative receives the group at Cochin Airport for the flight to Amritsar. On arrival, transfer to the hotel for a comfortable first night in the holy city.
Overnight in Amritsar. Meals: dinner.
After breakfast, the morning belongs to Amritsar's walled old town, where the gilded Golden Temple, Harmandir Sahib, the holiest gurdwara of the Sikh religion, rises from its sacred pool, with Jallianwala Bagh a short walk away. In the afternoon, the drive reaches the India-Pakistan Wagah border by three for the beating retreat, the blustering parade from both sides ending in the perfectly coordinated lowering of the two nations' flags before sunset.
Overnight in Amritsar. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
An early start with packed breakfast points the coach at the mountains. The road runs into Himachal's most popular valley country on the banks of the Beas: Kullu, the Valley of Gods and official home of Lord Raghunathji, a broad open valley of pine, deodar and sprawling apple orchards, with Manali waiting 40 kilometres beyond. Late evening check-in.
Overnight in Manali. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
After breakfast, the spectacular drive heads toward the Rohtang snow point, with free time to play in the snow; the Rohtang Pass itself lies 51 kilometres from Manali and stays snowbound for roughly eight months a year, so the tour visits the permitted snow point on the Rohtang road, the same stretch that carries the famous Atal Tunnel beneath the pass. After lunch comes the Hadimba Temple, the ancient shrine of Hidimbi Devi of the Mahabharata, built in 1553 and wrapped in cedar forest, then Vashist village on the Beas, famed for its hot sulphur springs, the pyramidal stone temple of Vashist Muni and its separate bathing tanks fed by the spring.
Overnight in Manali. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
After breakfast, the road winds south to Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh and the old summer capital of the Raj, with evening check-in.
Overnight in Shimla. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
After breakfast, the excursion runs 13 kilometres up to Kufri, the little hill station whose name comes from the local word for lake, where winter brings pony rides through the snow. After lunch, the day settles onto the Mall Road, Shimla's colonial-era main street, closed to all but emergency vehicles, lined with showrooms, cafes and the Himachal emporium of woollens, pottery and jewellery, made for exactly the kind of evening stroll the whole town takes.
Overnight in Shimla. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
After breakfast, the coach descends about 110 kilometres to Chandigarh, and in time the group transfers to the airport for the flight to Cochin.
Tour ends. Meals: breakfast.
