Dream Europe Paris to the Swiss Alps
Land in Paris, finish in Zurich, and travel in one direction the whole way. France, Belgium, Holland, Germany and Switzerland in nine days.
Emirates flights, a Schengen visa, 4-star hotels, all meals and the Lindt Home of Chocolate to close.
About This Trip

Most short Europe trips start in the mountains and end in a city. This one does the opposite. You land straight into Paris, spend two nights there, then move north and east through Brussels, Amsterdam, the Rhineland and the Black Forest before the Alps close the trip. Dinners are arranged at the hotel you sleep in each night, which hands roughly three extra hours back to sightseeing. The last morning is the Lindt Home of Chocolate outside Zurich, then straight to the airport.

Day by Day
Two nights in Paris, then Brussels, Amsterdam, the Rhineland and the Black Forest, ending with the Swiss Alps and the Lindt Home of Chocolate.

You gather at Kochi International Airport and clear emigration and customs before flying to Paris with Emirates. Paris is the capital of France and its centre of art and fashion; you are collected on arrival and taken for dinner.
Overnight in Paris.
The morning at the Louvre, set inside the old royal palace with the glass pyramid over the entrance — more than a million objects, about 35,000 on display, the Mona Lisa, Michelangelo's Dying Slave, the Venus de Milo, and paintings by Rembrandt and Rubens. A panoramic drive along the Champs-Élysées, past the Arc de Triomphe and the Place de la Concorde. After lunch, up the Eiffel Tower to the third level (subject to availability). The evening is a cruise on the Seine as the city lights come on.
Dinner and overnight in Paris.
Drive north to Brussels, often called the capital of the European Union: the Grand-Place and the nearby Manneken Pis. After lunch, the Atomium, left from the 1958 World's Fair — 102 metres, nine stainless-steel spheres forming an iron crystal cell. Later, on into the Netherlands.
Dinner and overnight in Amsterdam.
Madurodam in the Scheveningen district of the Hague, the whole country shrunk to 1:25 scale, with the traditional windmill and clog shoes. Then Zaanse Schans near Zaandam and the Catharina Hoeve cheese farm, with free time to walk. The evening is a cruise through the Amsterdam canals, then on to Germany.
Dinner and overnight in Cologne.
Cologne Cathedral in North Rhine-Westphalia, a World Heritage Site since 1996. Frankfurt next, an old Imperial City on the Main and Germany's financial hub. Then on to Stuttgart, the automobile city where Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Porsche all have their roots.
Dinner and overnight in Stuttgart.
The Mercedes-Benz Museum (subject to availability), designed by UN Studio outside the factory gate. To Titisee in the Black Forest, home of the cuckoo clock, with a visit to the workshop. After lunch, cross into Switzerland at Schaffhausen for the Rhine Falls, the largest waterfall in Europe (150 m across, 23 m drop), with free time. Night in Central Switzerland around Lake Lucerne.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Up Mount Titlis using three cable cars, the last the Rotair, the world's first revolving cable car. At the summit, around 3,020 metres, the Ice Flyer chairlift over the glacier and lunch on the mountain. Down to Lucerne: the painted old town, the covered Chapel Bridge and the Lion Monument cut into the rock. Time for Swiss chocolate and souvenirs.
Dinner and overnight in Switzerland.
The Lindt Home of Chocolate — part museum, part experience centre, with the world's largest chocolate fountain, exhibits on how cocoa is grown and chocolate made, and tastings along the way. Later, transfer to the airport for the flight home via Dubai.
You arrive in Kochi. The tour ends here.
