The Journey in One Look.

Eight days and seven nights, departing Kochi on set dates right through the year. Return economy class flights between Kochi and Ahmedabad are included, along with seven nights of accommodation on a twin sharing basis, veg meals as per the itinerary, and one litre of drinking water per person per day. Every entry ticket on the plan is booked ahead, transfers run in AC push-back vehicles, and there is a meet and greet service at both airports. An experienced tour manager from Fortune Tours travels with the group. This is a domestic circuit, so a valid photo ID takes the place of a passport.

Day by Day
Ahmedabad and Vadodara, the Statue of Unity, the sea temple at Bhavnagar, Gir's lions, Somnath and Dwarka, and Rajkot before the loop closes.

The flight lands at Ahmedabad, where the group is received, and the circuit opens gently: the Sabarmati riverfront, the Gandhi Ashram on its banks, where Gandhiji lived and led the freedom movement's defining years, and the ISKCON temple.
Overnight in Ahmedabad. Meals: dinner.
After breakfast, the road runs to Vadodara and the Lakshmi Vilas Palace Museum, raised by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III in 1890 in grand Indo-Saracenic style — reputed the largest private residence built until that time, said to be four times the size of Buckingham Palace, its 500-acre compound still home to the royal family of Baroda. Then to Kevadia, where the Statue of Unity rises 182 metres (597 feet) above the Narmada, the world's tallest statue, honouring the statesman Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Return to Vadodara by evening.
Overnight in Vadodara. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
After breakfast, the drive runs to Bhavnagar for Nishkalank Mahadev, the Shiva temple standing on a rock in the open sea, built to withstand the tides in a way that still puzzles engineers, and held by legend to have been raised by the Pandavas after the Kurukshetra war. Temple timings move with the low and high tide, and the day is planned around them.
Overnight in Bhavnagar. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
The morning reaches Devalia Park, the Gir Interpretation Zone, a 412-hectare stretch of true Gir forest holding almost all its wildlife: the Asiatic lion, found wild only in Gujarat, the Indian leopard across its open moat, spotted deer, sambar, blue bulls, blackbuck, wild boar, golden jackals, rare vultures and birds beyond counting. The park's own mini safari buses run the routes, with a private gypsy and trained eco-guide available for up to six travellers on request. The road then continues to Somnath for darshan at the great Shore Temple on arrival.
Overnight in Somnath. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
After breakfast, the coast road halts at Porbandar for Kirti Mandir, the Gandhi family haveli bought by Gandhiji's great-grandfather some two hundred years ago, home to his grandfather, father and uncle, who each served as ministers to Porbandar's rulers. The memorial raised around it was named Kirti Mandir in Gandhiji's memory, its foundation laid in 1947, inaugurated by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and opened to the public in May 1950. The day continues to Bet Dwarka for the boat crossing and temple visit before reaching Dwarka by evening.
Overnight in Dwarka. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Early morning brings darshan at the Dwarkadhish temple, Krishna's own city at its quietest hour, before returning for breakfast. The road then runs to Rajkot for the Mahatma Gandhi Museum, housed in the school established in 1853 where Gandhiji finished his schooling in 1887, one of only two students of his year to matriculate. Next door in spirit sits the Rotary International Dolls Museum, more than 1,600 dolls from over 102 countries donated by Rotary clubs worldwide, with a cinematheque of documentaries.
Overnight in Rajkot. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
After breakfast, the circuit closes its loop: the Adalaj Stepwell, five storeys of carved stone descending to still green water, then the riverfront and the Akshardham temple.
Overnight in Ahmedabad. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
An early checkout and transfer to Ahmedabad Airport for the return flight, and the tour ends with sweet memories.
Tour ends. Meals: breakfast, subject to the flight timing.
