Leh Ladakh Kochi to the Land of High Passes
The acclimatization day, Leh's confluences and monasteries, the Khardung La crossing to Nubra's dunes, and a camp night on Pangong's shore before the Changla return.
Return flights, five nights with camp stays at Nubra and Pangong, non-AC hill vehicles, and meals veg and non-veg in Leh — with a Fortune tour manager on the group.
The Journey in One Look.

Six days and five nights, on set summer departures ex Kochi. Return economy class flights between Kochi and Leh are included, with meet and greet at the airports and transfers in non-AC vehicles, which the cold hills never miss. You spend three nights in Leh on a twin-sharing basis, with camp nights at Nubra and Pangong, and the arrival day is kept free for acclimatisation at roughly 3,500 metres, by design rather than by accident. Meals are veg and non-veg in Leh and vegetarian only at the two camps, with one litre of drinking water per person per day. An experienced tour manager from Fortune Tours travels with the group. This is a domestic journey, so a valid photo ID with a photocopy takes the place of a passport, and non-resident Indians carry their passport.

Day by Day
The acclimatization day, Leh's circuit, over Khardung La to Nubra, the Shayok road to Pangong, and the Changla return.

The representative receives the group at Cochin Airport for the flight to Leh, with transfer to the hotel on arrival. The rest of the day stays deliberately free: tthe flight lifts you from near sea level to roughly 3,500 metres in about an hour, and however excited you feel, the body needs this day to acclimatize, so rest is sincerely the plan. Wearing a jacket from the moment you land helps ease the adjustment.
Overnight in Leh. Meals: dinner.
After breakfast, the day runs to the Sangam, the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus rivers, with Magnetic Hill en route, the gravity hill whose optical illusion makes parked cars seem to roll uphill, and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, built in memory of Guru Nanak. The return covers the Ladakh Hall of Fame, the Army-run museum and war memorial, and Spituk Monastery, also known as Pethup Gompa, before an evening at leisure.
Overnight in Leh. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
After breakfast, the road climbs to Khardung La at 18,380 feet, 5,602 metres, one of the world's highest motorable roads, the Pass of the Lower Castle, then drops into the Nubra Valley to the camp at Hunder. After a rest, the white sand dunes of Hunder wait, where camel rides run on direct payment, before the evening settles at the camp.
Overnight at the Nubra camp. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner (vegetarian at the camp).
After breakfast, check out and visit Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the Nubra Valley, then take the Shayok road to Pangong. Check in at the camp, walk the shore, and let the lake spend its evening colours on you.
Overnight at the Pangong camp. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner (vegetarian at the camp).
Breakfast at the camp with the lake at its morning blue, then the return over Changla Pass to Leh. On arrival, visit Shanti Stupa above the town and finish with Leh Market, before check-in and an evening at leisure.
