Jordan Holidays From Kerala, From Rose Red Petra to the Floating Sea
A city carved into cliffs two thousand years ago, a red desert that plays Mars in the movies, and a sea where nobody sinks. All of it planned around your dates.
A Small Country Carrying Giant Wonders.

Jordan fits more into a week than most countries manage in a month. Petra, the stone city of the Nabataeans, hides inside its southern mountains. Wadi Rum's red desert rolls south of it, so unearthly that filmmakers use it as another planet. The Dead Sea waits in the west, the lowest shore on earth, and Roman Jerash stands in the north with its colonnades almost complete. In the middle sits Amman, a capital of hill top ruins, art cafes and very good food. For Kerala travellers, it is closer than it feels. One stop through the Gulf puts you in Amman, and the country is compact enough that no drive wastes a day. Tell us your dates and your pace, and we shape the whole journey around them.
The Four Jordans Worth the Journey.

Walking the Siq Into Petra.

A City Hidden Inside a Mountain
Petra does not appear. It is revealed. You enter on foot through the Siq, a narrow gorge where the walls climb far above your head and the path bends until you lose count. Then the rock opens, and the Treasury stands in the gap, a palace face carved straight into rose coloured stone by the Nabataeans two thousand years ago. Camels rest at its feet, and every traveller stops in the same place, mid step, to stare. Beyond it waits a whole city, tombs, a theatre, and the long stair to the Monastery for those with the legs for it. Petra was voted one of the new seven wonders of the world, and it earns a full day at the very least. We plan it early in the morning, before the heat and the crowds, with two days and the candlelit Petra by Night evening woven in when the calendar allows.

The Sea That Refuses to Sink You.
The Dead Sea lies more than four hundred metres below sea level, the lowest shore on land anywhere on earth. Its water is many times saltier than the ocean, so salty that your body simply will not go under. You lean back, lift your feet, and float like a cork, reading a newspaper if you want the classic photo. The dark mineral mud along the shore is famous for the skin, and the spa hotels beside the water have built an entire ritual around it. Two small rules make it perfect: keep the water away from your eyes, and do not shave that morning. We plan the float as the soft landing at the end of the route, when the walking is done.

One Week Covers the Kingdom.
The classic shape runs five to eight days. Land in Amman and take the city with a Jerash morning, drive south to Petra for a day or two among the tombs, roll into Wadi Rum for a jeep afternoon and a night in a desert camp, then finish floating at the Dead Sea. Divers and beach lovers add Aqaba on the Red Sea. Distances are short and the roads are good, so the days go to the places, not the transfers. Send your dates, your party and your pace, and the full plan comes back with flights from Kerala, stays, guides and every drive in wise order.

FAQ
Questions with useful answers
Yes. Jordan issues visas to Indian travellers, and for stays of three nights or more the Jordan Pass route can cover the visa cost along with entry to major sites. We confirm the current rules for your documents and handle the process with you.
September to November and March to May bring mild days that suit Petra's walking and the desert. Summer is very hot, especially at the Dead Sea, and winter is quiet and cool with cold desert nights.
Five days covers Amman, Petra and the Dead Sea comfortably. Seven to eight days adds Jerash, a Wadi Rum night and breathing room, and Aqaba's Red Sea stretches it further.
A fair amount, on mostly flat stone paths. The walk in from the gate to the Treasury runs a couple of kilometres, and the full site adds more, with the Monastery climb optional. We pace the visit to your group, and good shoes matter.
The afternoon is a jeep ride between the sandstone towers, then a Bedouin camp takes over, dinner cooked in the desert way, tea by the fire, and a sky so full of stars it looks unreal. Camps range from simple to very comfortable, and we match yours to your style.
Strange and wonderful. The salt makes the water so dense that you cannot sink, so you lie back and drift with no effort at all. Keep the water away from your eyes, try the mineral mud, and shower after. Most travellers call it the trip's funniest hour.
