Delightful Vietnam Cambodia
7 DAYS, EX KOCHI · PHNOM PENH · SIEM REAP · HANOI · NINH BINH · HALONG BAY
EXPERIENCES:
4-star hotels · daily meals · an overnight Halong Bay cruise · and a Fortune tour manager from the first airport

The temple on the nation's flag, stone faces older than most countries, and homes resting on a great lake. One escorted group from Kochi sees it all, then flies on to Vietnam.

Cambodia is home to Angkor Wat, the temple so loved that it sits on the country's flag. Around it are royal cities of stone, quiet rice fields, and a giant lake where whole villages float on water. Phnom Penh, the capital, mixes old French villas with golden temples and busy markets. Cambodia is one half of our Delightful Vietnam Cambodia tour, a fixed group departure from Kochi. You spend three days here, then fly on to Vietnam with the same group and the same tour manager.
Three days, four places to remember, before the evening flight to Hanoi.
The Cambodia days at a glance, before you book.

Angkor Wat was built as a copy of the universe in old Hindu belief, with Mount Meru rising at its centre and the oceans spread around it. Its five famous towers climb into the sky above long galleries and carved walls that tell Khmer epics, watched over by stone Apsara dancers. It is the pride of the whole country, and the reason it sits on Cambodia's flag. The tour gives Angkor a full day. The morning covers Angkor Thom, the old walled royal city, with the giant faces of the Bayon Temple and the Terrace of the Elephants, carved for three hundred metres through its heart. The afternoon belongs to Angkor Wat itself, with a guide, when the light falls warm on the stone.

The drive from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap takes about six hours, and it is a show of its own. The road runs past rice fields, palm sugar trees and wooden Khmer houses. At Skuon town, the group stops to see the famous fried spider snack, a local food the brave can even try. Further on at Kampong Kdei stands the Naga Bridge, an ancient stone bridge from the Angkor period. By late afternoon, you reach the Tonle Sap, where the floating village waits.

The tour flies from Cochin International Airport with a change in Singapore each way, and return economy tickets on Singapore Airlines are part of the package. Hotels in every city are premium 4-star standard or similar. Breakfast is a buffet at the hotel, with lunch and dinner arranged through the tour, and since day one is the overnight flight, meals begin on arrival in Phnom Penh. The move between the two countries is an evening flight from Siem Reap to Hanoi, so there is no long border crossing by road. Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry and in good condition. Travel insurance is included for Indian residents, while foreign passport holders arrange their own cover. Guided days include walking from the coach to the sights, so pack comfortable shoes.

Yes. One full day is set aside for the Angkor grounds, with a guide. You cover Angkor Thom, the Bayon faces and the terraces in the morning, and Angkor Wat in the afternoon.
By air. After the Angkor visit, the group takes an evening flight from Siem Reap to Hanoi. A local guide meets you on arrival and takes you to the hotel.
Choeung Ek is a quiet memorial ground about seventeen kilometres from Phnom Penh. It honors the many people who died under the Pol Pot regime. The visit is guided and handled with respect, and it helps travellers understand the country's story.
You board a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap, the Great Lake of Cambodia. The boat moves past floating homes, and you see everyday Khmer life on the water up close.
Breakfast is a buffet at the hotel. Lunches are at local restaurants along the way, and dinner in Siem Reap is at an Indian restaurant, which many Kerala travellers appreciate.
The set plan is the base. On request, our team can look at your dates, your pace and any add-ons, and shape the tour so it fits your group better.
